Here are the rules:

  • I will go to various Vietnamese restaurants in and around Edmonton and only order Satay Beef Noodle Soup.
  • I will always order the largest serving that is offered.
  • I will always customize my meal the same way every time; generous handful of bean sprouts, squeeze of lime or lemon and a ring of Sriracha. Noodles are then flipped and broth is left to cook the bean sprouts for a bit and then everything is mixed properly.
  • After deliberating over the meal, I will rate the meal with a ‘out of 5’ rating in various fields: broth, portion, overall taste, value and overall satisfaction.
  • I will only be review the meal, nothing else, not the decor of the restaurant, not the service that I’ve gotten that day, just the meal.
  • What I review does not reflect on whatever else the restaurant offers, remember, it’s just Satay Beef Noodle Soup.

If you have any suggestions for Vietnamese restaurants, please comment!  I’ll take your suggestions seriously!

Hey Clem, if you like the taste of *fresh* broth of sate beef noodle then try #7 at pho du edmonton. North of 140 ave on 127 street. It’s the only place I know that does not have peanut taste in their sate.

      Thanks dat,

I’ve been to King Noodle House and they don’t have Satay noodle soup but I’m considering after I’m done with the Satay review, I might move to bun bo Hue.

      Thanks for the suggestions

Nice blog ! Check out Pho Huong and Mama Pizza (I know, I know, an unusual combination but works out well) on 107 Ave.
    Address is: 10531- 107 Ave.
Neighbourhood is a bit sketchy but the place is good and owner is super friendly.
